Return Of The Living Dead (2026) is the apparent official sequel to the 1985 original. Originally due to be released in December 2025 to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Dan O’Bannon’s comedy-horror classic, it is now due in US cinemas on 13 November 2026.
Synopsis:
Taking place 18 months after the events at the UNEEDA Warehouse in Louisville, KY, a new Trioxin 2-4-5 leak puts a small Pennsylvania town on the brink of a zombie outbreak during Christmas, 1985.
And that’s pretty much all we know. The iconic Tarman zombie will feature apparently, but beyond that there is little information to be had about the films plot.
